The Fool By Jasmineperfume
|
Children laughing near a pool.
Let's push him in - let's push the fool.
He stood there quiet - head leld low.
Bravery to these bullies he must show.
|
Encircle him, around him we'll go.
Then all together, let us push and throw.
The fool thrust head on through the water.
A whisper he heard "should we have aughta?" |
Sinking lower, deeper, colder, darker.
No loud noises, no cruel laughter.
Silence broken by bells loudly ringing.
In the distance a choir is heard singing.
|
The fool glances outward and now there is light.
Startled he gasps at a very strange sight.
Chapel crowded with people quietly praying.
White collared bullies near a coffin are crying.
